ABOUT THE 10th COURT OF APPEALS
The 10th Court of Appeals is one of fourteen intermediate appellate state courts in Texas. There are three seats on this court and it hears appeals in both civil and criminal cases* from the various trial courts in the district. Opinions issued by this court can be appealed to the Texas Supreme Court (civil cases) and the Court of Criminal Appeals (criminal cases) The Court is composed of a Chief Justice and two Justices. They are elected to six year terms which are staggered so that one of the three seats is up for election every two years.
The Court is located in Waco. The district includes the following counties:
